Every community must develop an emergency management plan to prepare and respond to any major crisis. The Town of Bentley has a Municipal Emergency Management Plan. It is recognized that an emergency or disaster of a jurisdictional nature could affect more than one municipality in our area, which is why the Town is one of eleven members of the Lacombe Regional Emergency Management Partnership. Other members are: Village of Alix, Village of Clive, Town of Eckville, Town of Blackfalds, City of Lacombe, Lacombe County, SV of Gull Lake, SV of Birchcliff, SV of Sunbreaker Cove and SV of Half Moon Bay.
The Bentley District Fire Department consists of volunteers who provide emergency and fire suppression services and promote fire safety. Our volunteer firefighters are well trained and highly motivated to assist others in emergency situations. The Town of Bentley, in partnership with Lacombe County, fund the operation of the Fire Department.
